The search-for-a-pantomime-star for Aladdin

Following the launch of Ram FM & Derby LIVE's Fame Factor in 2009, this hugely popular search-for-a-pantomime-star talent competition returned for it's second year and was even bigger and better than before!

2009 winner, contortionist Lucy Mather, starred alongside Neil Morrissey and Eternal's Kelle Bryan in Derby LIVE's Pantomime Cinderella, appearing in twenty-three shows and performing to over 20,000 people.

Fame Factor 2010 was a search for a pantomime star for Aladdin, Derby LIVE & Paul Holman Associates pantomime for 2010/11!Fame Factor 2010 Winner, Marcia Lynnette Campbell

After 147 entries, 80 people were auditioned by our panel of judges and this was reduced to 28 acts who were seen at our 'bootcamp'. Of those 28, 24 acts went through to our live heats in July and our winner singer Marcia Lynnette Campbell was announced at the final on 30th July.

The runners up were singing group The Nightingales, football freestyler John Whetton and singer Victoria Haslam.

Marcia Lynette Campbell appeared as The Slave of the Ring in all 56 performances of Aladdin from Wednesday 8 December until Sunday 9 January 2011, alongside Neil Morrissey.
