Outdoor Events

As well as staging the annual Darley Park Concert, Derby's Bonfire & Fireworks Display and Christmas Lights Switch On, Derby LIVE manage event spaces in Derby City Centre.

Derby LIVE welcome events in the City Centre and provide the following service to help you get the best from your event.

We will advise on the best site, arrange site visits and provide liaison with the emergency services, health and safety officials and other interested parties through a monthly Health and Safety Advisory Group.

The Space Hire team have many years experience in staging a wide variety of events and our expertise is at your deposal to make your event a safe and successful one.

  • Market Place
  • Bass's Recreation Ground
  • Cathedral Green
  • River Gardens
  • Museum Square

There is a Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 in place for the Market Place, Bass Recreation Ground and Cathedral Green. This does not cover the sale of alcohol. If you wish to sell alcohol at your event you will need to apply for the relevant licence, either a Temporary Event Notice or for larger events a full Premises Licence.
