Street Trading

The Street Trading consent area in Derby City Centre comprises St Peter;s Street, The Corn Market, Osnabruck Square and Market Place. Street Trading - St Peter's Street

The friendly Space Hire team will take your bookings, advise on the best site for you and arrange Street Trading Licences, vehicle permits, electricity supply and any other permissions required so as to make your visit to Derby a smooth and successful one.

Derby City Centre has a range of busy sites where street trading and other forms of promotional and trading activities are allowed.

The following prices and discounts apply to all trading activity in Derby City Centre.

A street trading licence is required only for the sale of physical goods. Sales of services such as TV channels, insurance, utility services do not require a Street Trading Licence.

The cost of a Street Trading Licence, if required, is in addition to the site rental fee.

Pricing Schedule for the hiring of space for a static stand in Derby City Centre

Price per day (If 5 days booked, 6th day free)

If street trading, an additional fee of 10% of hire charge (or a minimum of £25 per day, whichever is the greater) is required for a street trading consent.

£50 for 1 weekday connection disconnection 13 amp only

£160 for 1 weekday connection and disconnection 63 amp

£200 weekend all connection disconnection types

Conditions

Bookings will only be regarded as confirmed upon receipt of completed hire application form.

All of the above activities will be confirmed upon the production of an insurance certificate for public liability to the sum of £5,000,000. Hire rates for any activity / event not covered by this pricing schedule (in areas controlled by Derby LIVE) will be at the discretion of the City Centre Events Manager.
