Amateur Theatre Shows Set to Impress

We are pleased to present a number of amateur theatre productions that will be taking place at the Guildhall Theatre this spring. Gatepost Theatre Company, Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company, Rose Hill Musical Society and Good Companions will be entertaining audiences with a range of shows from musicals to murder mysteries.
Gatepost Theatre Company will bring Made in Dagenham to the Guildhall Theatre. Based on a true story and the hit movie, Made in Dagenham is an uplifting British musical comedy about friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what is right. Made in Dagenham will be performed at the Guildhall Theatre between Wed 22 – Sat 25 Feb. ‘Allo ‘Allo will be performed by Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company, telling the story of Rene – a café owner who is forced into working with both the Gestapo and the Resistance, whilst also struggling to hide his affair with the waitresses from his wife. ‘Allo ‘Allo will be performed at the Guildhall Theatre between Tue 7 - Sat 11 Mar. Tickets are priced at £10.25 - £13.25, cream teas are also available to pre-order for matinee performances. This show is selling really fast so book your tickets now to avoid dissapointment.
Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers will be performed by Rose Hill Musical Society. Gilbert’s tale of mistaken identity and political intrigue, set initially in Venice and then on the sunny island of Barataria, inspired Sullivan to compose some of his happiest and most popular music. The Gondoliers will be performed at the Guildhall Theatre between Tue 21 – Sat 25 Mar. Tickets are priced at £13 - £15, and are available via telephone at 0115 9258717.
SINtillating Songs is for those who fancy doing something naughty but nice and is the chance to join the Good Companions for their Musical Spring Show. This fast moving song and dance show takes a light hearted look at those Seven Deadly Sins and will leave audiences feeling sinfully delighted! SINtillating Songs will be staged at the Guildhall Theatre between Tue 4 Apr and Sat 8 Apr. Tickets are priced at £9 – £10, cream teas are also available to pre-order for matinee performances.
