Calling all budding dancers…

The producers of this year’s pantomime, Paul Holman Associates are looking for young female dancers aged between 9 and 12 years to star in Cinderella which will be staged at Derby Arena from Tuesday 6 Dec 2016 – Tuesday 3 Jan 2017. Dance auditions will take place on Sunday 11 September at the Arena.

The successful young dancers will star alongside top TV performers Richard Blackwood, Eilish O’Carroll (Winnie, from Mrs Brown’s Boys) and Lloyd Warbey.

The dancers need to be under 4'11" tall and they need to be at least the equivalent standard of ISTD Grade One in Ballet, Tap and Modern and following a recognised syllabus (IDTA, ISTD, RAD etc), strong performance skills are a must too.

All girls attending the auditions need to be accompanied and must have a valid signed parental permission form. If any girls are not attending with their parent/guardian, the form can be obtained by emailing Fiona Watson on fwatson0705@yahoo.co.uk and brought along on the day.

Everyone auditioning must take all the relevant shoes with them and be prepared for a long day if they are recalled for the final shortlist.

Successful children must be available for the whole of the rehearsal and performance period and live within 30 minutes travelling time of school, home and of the Arena. They must be available for rehearsals from Friday 25 November 2016 until the opening of the Pantomime on Tuesday 6 December and be available throughout the run from Tuesday 6 December 2016 – Tuesday 3 January 2017.

Auditions will be held at Derby Arena (Infield), Royal Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8JB on Sunday 11 September 2016, with registration at 9.00am.
