Cheryl Fergison to star in Jack and the Beanstalk

Fri 28 Jun 2013

Recent careless whispers can now be buried in a different corner as we can confirm that Cheryl Fergison will be waving the wand of goodwill over you this Christmas in Jack and the Beanstalk.

Cheryl shot to attention with her portrayal of Heather Trott, the obsessed George Michael fan, lover of all things 80s and friend to all in EastEnders. In what was originally a guest appearance on the country’s favourite square, Heather was quickly taken into the nations’ hearts and remained on the square as a firm favourite with viewers and critics until her departure last year.

With many awards and numerous nominations, including Best Newcomer, Best Comedy Partnership, Best Comedy Performance and Stand-Out Performance, a new soap-star legend was created by Cheryl. Her final East End appearance saw her tragically killed by a Mitchell and was watched by over nine millions viewers.

Numerous celebrity appearances on popular programmes such as Lets Dance for Sport Relief, Strictly Come Dancing-It Takes Two, Come Dine with Me, Loose Women and of course, time spent in Celebrity Big Brother, to name just a few, have kept Cheryl constantly busy and in demand.

From Sat 29 Jun Cheryl will be entertaining Saturday night audiences in ITV’s new six week series Your Face Sounds Familiar, a fun-filled show with a twist, that challenges stars to take to the stage and perform as different musical artists.

Cheryl will be bringing magic and fairy dust to the role of Spirit of the Beans in Jack and the Beanstalk, where she’ll be guiding X-Factor favourite Marcus Collins on his journey to slay the giant.
