We hope you have all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend? As September approaches we still have a large amount of outdoor events lined up for you to allow you to enjoy the warm weather longer. Below are some of the events that we have got planned for you in the next couple of weeks. 

Donington Live

We are selling tickets for Donington Live concert, offering a special price for Derby residents. Donington Live is a new open-air classical music concert held in the beautiful Donington Park. It is the East Midlands newest cultural event. Donington Park & Music Plus Sport jointly decided to launch a new event bringing the biggest names in Classical music to Derby and the surrounding area.

Hosted by Aled Jones, the event will see performances by mezzo-soprano LAURA WRIGHT, Britain’s Got Talent winners COLLABRO, East Midlands-based Orchestra SINFONIA VIVA and the chart-topping MILITARY WIVES CHOIR. And if all this wasn't enough, the event will conclude with a fantastic fireworks display!

The Moscow State Circus

The Moscow State Circus returns to the UK with its latest and greatest production to date. The Moscow State Circus will be taking place on Bass’ Recreation Grounds between Tuesday 6  and Sunday 11 September. 

'Zhelaniy' is based on the Russian folklore story of Cvetik-Semicvetik, or "the flower with seven colours", by Benjamin Losin, where each of the petals represent a wish and is the perfect back drop for what is undoubtedly the greatest and most famous circus on earth. The Circus of Horrors: The Never Ending Nightmare

The Circus of Horrors celebrates its 21st anniversary as it takes to the road with its latest incarnation “The Never-ending Nightmare”. The spectacular features an amazing amalgamation of bizarre, brave & beautiful acts all woven into a Alice in Horrorland type story driven by a mainly original soundscape & performed with a forked tongue firmly in each cheek!

The Circus of Horrors is taking place on Friday 9 – Saturday 10 September, tickets are available from our website.

Derby Festé

Derby Festé returns for its tenth year, transforming the city centre into a world-class festival site with performances for the whole family to enjoy between Friday 23 – Saturday 24 September.

The headline act for this year is called by the fantastic acrobatic Transe Express, which will see Bass’ Recreation Ground transformed into an underwater wonderland. The atmospheric show will transport the crowds to a magic oceanic world. The performance of will be priced at just £7 and tickets are available here.

All other events and performances at Derby Festé are FREE.
