About the event

For over 20 years, Steamchicken have been delighting audiences with their own brand of fun.

In Ceilidhs, concerts, bar sets and workshops, the 9 talented and versatile musicians bring musical genres together in a way that shouldn't work but does. Piano, melodeon, harmonica, vocals and percussion combine with a tightly knit horn section to provide entertainment that goes way beyond a dance or a song. This band don't take themselves too seriously - just don't let Andrew tell the sausage joke!

"Good Noisy Fun" fRoots

"Just have to be seen live" Living Tradition

"Great audience participation and copious quantities of fabulous music dished out at every performance. We were delighted to have them appearing at the first ever Costa del Folk and look forward to seeing them on the Menu again! Yes, it's Steamchicken with all the trimmings for us!!" Enjoy Travel

"You know you're guaranteed a good night when you see Steamchicken's name on the bill. Their genre defying sound flirts shamelessly with jazz, blues and folk, but they refuse to be pigeon-holed. Their performance is endlessly watchable, enviably accomplished and ridiculously fun. And it's a scientifically certified fact that no mammal can listen to Steamchicken and resist dancing."
