About the event

In this special double-bill, vibraphonist and composer Corey Mwamba presents "New Dark Art", an intriguing blend of medieval and contemporary music; and his critically-acclaimed trio Yana with Dave Kane and Joshua Blackmore.

The music resists easy categorisation. Though 100 per cent improvised, it manages to avoid sounding like either free jazz or improv. **** Jazzwise Magazine

And their attention to the smallest details can make you fall in love with sound all over again. Bristol Jazz Log
