About the event

NODA award winning Gatepost Theatre Company present Rent.

Jonathan Larson’s exuberant East Village rock version of Puccini’s opera La Bohème won the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Larson’s stirring and life-affirming score captures the heart and spirit of a generation of struggling artists, addicts and impoverished young people living in the shadow of AIDS, battling the coming wave of gentrification. Rent is a gritty, emotional exploration of personal friendship, love and pain set in the background of New York in the 90’s featuring hit classic songs Seasons of Love, Today 4 You and I’ll Cover You. Rent is a tribute to those who have ever faced adversity and overcome it through friendship. Not suitable for under 14’s.
