A Dramatic two show spectacular! Derby’s own Ashrow Theatre return this September and October bringing traditional repertory-style theatre to Derby, producing TWO shows in THREE weeks with a professional cast and crew almost entirely from Derby and the East Midlands.

Shakespeare’s tale of the money-lender, Shylock. His terms: if his loan cannot be honoured, it must be repaid with a pound of flesh. A dramatic account of love, loyalty and honour in Venice.

5:15-6pm; We offer talks with members of each production's creative team. These pre-show, onstage events offer a chance to hear the director, producer and/or actors in conversation, revealing some of the influences and decisions that have created the production. From rehearsal room processes and design choices, to characterisation and relationships this is a fascinating insight into the creative process. Free with tickets for either The Importance of Being Earnest or The Merchant of Venice.
