Derby Festé 2023 Unveils Performances

Supported by the Cathedral Quarter BID, tickets are now on sale for Derby Festé on Fri 22 and Sat 23 Sep 2023 for their 15th year of outdoor dance, music, art and theatre.
Festé launches on Fri 22 Sep with Shine A Light – Derbyshire & Toyota City 25 Years, a unique event celebrating 25 years of the twinning link between Derbyshire and Toyota City with two video projection artworks, the first created specifically for the Guildhall in Market Place and the second in Kojaku-ji temple in Toyota City.
The first performance at Derby Festé on Friday afternoon will be Rogue Play’s Forests a willow tree, fiery acrobatics and dance feature in this highly-visual family-friendly show at Derby Market Place.
Performing at Derby Cathedral will be the winner of the regional song contest Derbyvision, Terrianne, plus pyrotechnic artist and storyteller, Nathan Gerring and Deep Down Brass, a 6-piece brass and drums groups will play all your favourite hits from the genres of pop, rock, indie and dance.
Saturday is packed with a full day of events and activities across city locations with highlights including Delrevés’ Finale, Compagnie des Quidams, 60-foot Circo Rum Ba Ba’s The Whale, and the hugely ambitious and colourful Community Procession.
Others acts performing on Saturday include Festé’s Community Procession returns with 2023’s Riverlife, 2Faced Dance’s Lungs of Our City, Def Motion, Cog in the Wheel, Farm Yard Circus, Highly Sprung’s Castaway, Joss Arnott Dance presenting Rush, Daryl & Co and Mimbre perform Look Mum, No Hands, Simple Cypher, Vanhulle Dance’s Dovetail, Handmade Theatre offer a unique production, Wildernests and Internationally renowned Tom Dale Company bring a VR delight with Surge VR.
