About the event

The stage show ran from 1986 to 1992 including three London stage runs and international tours.

Created by comedy legends Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft the show's premise was not to make fun of the war but to spoof war-based film and TV dramas, in particular Secret Army, a BBC1 drama series dealing with the activities of Resistance workers who returned crashed allied pilots to Britain. 'Allo 'Allo became a successful television series that ran for seven seasons.

It relates the adventures of a hapless cafe owner, Rene, in occupied France, caught between the Gestapo and the Resistance and forced into working with both, René also struggles to hide evidence of his affairs with the waitresses from his wife.
