BBC Radio 2 playlisted artist Callaghan has announced she’ll be returning to the UK this March for a string of UK shows.
The Nashville based singer songwriter will be playing songs from her recent album, A History of Now, including the acclaimed BBC Radio 2 playlisted singles Best Year and We Don’t Have Change The World.
Originally from Lincolnshire Callaghan moved to the USA in 2010 to tour and record with Atlanta based Grammy nominee Shawn Mullins. Last year, after five years of building her audience in the US, (where she’s since sold over 10,000 albums) – she returned to the UK with the new album. Already familiar to fans of Bob Harris who describes her as ‘a wonderful artist…hugely talented,’ Callaghan enjoyed a hugely successful 2015 which saw her profile build substantially in the UK.
Following the release of the album, Callaghan returned for multiple trips throughout the year. There were two appearances at the massive C2C festival at London’s O2 arena in March followed by a sell-out show in London, a tour in April with multiple sold out dates and festival appearances across the summer including SummerTyne Festival, The Secret Garden Party and Cambridge Folk Festival.
Add to this the aforementioned Radio 2 Playlists, and a ton of other radio and press acclaim and it’s clear Callaghan is well on her way to becoming one of the UK’s brightest new talents.
Stay tuned for news on all Callaghan’s upcoming UK shows and festival appearances.
