About the Event

Puppets, shadows, music, magic and mischief abound in this charming and delightful play, adapted by Babbling Vagabonds from a story by local children’s author Caryl Hart.

Faces glow with Christmas joy.

Across the city, snow begins to fall.

But in a forgotten street, away from the hustle and bustle, a sad old Shopkeeper shivers alone.

Poor old Emilio, only memories fill his empty shop. He misses his wife, Florentina so much.

When a magical urchin enters his run-down grocery shop looking for food, she rekindles a spark of his long-forgotten dream.

With a song in his heart, a smile on his lips and a sprinkling of Christmas magic, Emilio transforms his dowdy dusty shop into a wondrous chocolate emporium.

But will he ever see the little girl again?
