Alzheimer's Awareness Week

Unforgettable by Tim Elgood, produced by New Perspectives in association with Derby LIVE, Wed 20 - Sat 23 May

Fri 15 May 2015

We're helping to support Alzheimer's Awareness Week as Derbyshire based writer Tim Elgood's latest play Unforgettable deals with the subject.

Alzheimer's Awareness Week (also known as Dementia Awareness Week) will take place between Mon 18 - Sat 23 May and aims to highlight the disease so that more people can learn to understand it.

According to the Alzheimer's Society website;

Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. It can strip you of your memory, your relationships and your connection to the world you love, leaving you feeling isolated and alone.

The chances are, we all known someone affected by Alzheimer's and we should all do our bit to help, whether that's donating to good causes fighting to find a cure, taking the time to learn more about the reality of living with the disease or generally showing some support by spreading the word of Alzheimer's Awareness Week.

The Alzheimer's Society believe it's possible to do new things and have new experiences, too. And that's what this year's Dementia Awareness Week is all about.

Show your support for Alzheimer's and Dementia suffers by joining the conversation online using the #dosomethingnew.

Unforgettable takes place at the Guildhall Theatre from Wed 20 - Sat 23 May, check out our gallery of rehearsal photos below.
