As the technical work goes on behind the scenes to create The Hannells Darley Park Concert at Home, it can be confirmed that you will be able to watch the virtual event online as well as listen on BBC Radio Derby – and that includes a screening of the spectacular finale fireworks!

Our virtual event, Superhero Picnic at Home, is now less than a week away! We were sad to cancel our annual Superhero Picnic in the Park due to Covid-19 restrictions, but to take its place, we launched this brand new online event, and it promises to be a super day!

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of the public and our staff has been the priority of Derby City Council. It is with regret that we are now announcing that all outdoor events, and events at Derby Arena and other venues, will not be running until at least the end of August.
Enjoy Derby Folk Festival in your own home

Just before lockdown began, Derby LIVE announced that the Derby Folk Festival would be back for October 2020 with many artists playing in multiple venues across the city. However, due to Covid-19 and the continued restrictions on staging events, the festival cannot go ahead as planned in a way which is safe for audiences, musicians and crew. Instead, Derby LIVE are excited to announce that we have worked with artists and partners to put together a digital version of this much loved festival - Derby Folk Festival at Home!

Bringing The Hannells Darley Park Concert to your home

Due to the pandemic, it is not possible for this year’s Hannells Darley Park Concert on Sunday 30 August to go ahead as planned.
So instead, Derby LIVE is teaming up with Sinfonia Viva and BBC Radio Derby to bring the concert to audiences at home, on radio and online.

UPDATE: Whitney - Queen of the Night

In line with Government guidance we can confirm that Whitney - Queen of the Night at Derby Arena will not be going ahead tomorrow. The event has been re-scheduled for Thursday 8 October 2020 and existing tickets can be transferred for this date. Refunds will also be available and we will be in touch with Derby LIVE customers. For all other customers please contact your ticket provider.
