Jul - Sep 2016 What's On Guide is out now!

Wed 11 May 2016

Our new What's On Guide is now available for the Jul - Sep 2016 season.

Featuring all the information you need to know about LIVE performances, events and festivals across the city, we are excited to tell you about all that is coming up over the next few months.

Highlights of this season include Oddsocks' Outdoor Theatre performances, taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Markeaton Park in the newly refurbished Craft Village. In just over a month, Macbeth takes to the stage, but the popular theatre group returns in July with the high-octane musical, Much Ado About Nothing. Not only do you get to enjoy the great outdoors with this entertainment, but there are options to indulge in a delicious range of pizzas, platters and even a cream tea. Bring your friends, families, partners or colleagues to the eagerly anticipated CAMRA Summer Beer Festival on the Market Place. Pick from a huge selection of real ale, cider and continental beers and enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the evening.

Outdoor entertainment doesn't stop there! We are excited to be screening two very popular films in our Outdoor Cinema, also at Markeaton Park Craft Village in August. Starting with Ghost (12A) and finishing with Star Wars: The Force Awakens (12A) on the following day, we cannot wait to transform the craft village into a comfortable, enjoyable and extra large...living room! Similarly, you can also enjoy the selection of food available to pre-order at these screenings.

Derby Folk Festival will be returning for its 10th year to the City Marquee on the Market Place, the Guildhall Theatre, The Old Bell Hotel and Derby Cathedral at the end of September and into the beginning of October. As well as ticketed concerts and events, there will be dance displays throughout the streets, and free music performances during Saturday and Sunday. We feel honoured to be hosting a variety of extremely talented artists, some of whom have recently won or been nominated for awards at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

That is only a small selection of entertainment, events and festivals taking place throughout the summer. So, in order for you to see all that is waiting for you right on your doorstep, we have our What's On Guide available for you to view right here.
