About the Event

Shakespeare's timeless comedy makes its Derby appearance prior to transferring to the Minack Theatre, Cornwall.

Hermia loves Lysander and Lysander loves Hermia, but so does Demetrius. In the woods Quince and her aspiring theatrical band try to find their mojo and Oberon is having a battle over a little Indian boy with Titania. Tipsy Bacchanals and Battling Centaurs are roaming the forest with some very opinionated fairies.

Set against the 1950s, a sound track ranging from big band to rock and roll, beautiful and outrageous costumes and a company of zany characters bring this most loved of Shakespeare's plays to life

This is an open-air production: bring your own seats and a picnic!
