About the Event
This event is promoted by Furthest From the Sea, Derby LIVE are pleased to act as a ticket agent.
Essex born singer songwriter Dave Giles is the epitome of a DIY artist. Dave’s musical style is casual and slightly, yet wonderfully juvenile. Drawing inspiration from idol Billy Bragg, Giles’ music is his own twist of folk and acoustic rock. Always the shepherd and never the sheep, Dave’s performance on stage is always unpredictable and innovative. Equipped with a sharp wit, props and quirky songs, Dave knows how to put on a show. Whether he is prancing around bare foot or gathering the audience to sit on the floor, in a circle around him, Dave always manages to keep the crowd on their toes (or in some circumstances, not).
Support will be provided by troubadour Joe McCorriston who will perform his self-described 'honest pop music from a punk kid'.
