Everything You Need To Know about the Derby Feste 2017 World of Circus event at Bass’s Recreation Ground on Friday 29 September.
WHAT SECURITY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE?
We respectfully ask for your cooperation on bag searches and approaches from security personnel to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. Bag searches will be in place before the ticket gates and box office. Re-entry will be with ticket only and you will be required to go through a search procedure again.
WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE WORLD OF CIRCUS?
For your comfort and safety and that of other customers we’d ask that you do not bring any of the following items into the World of Circus:
Bag searches will be in place and you will be asked to take any prohibited item(s) back to your car or allow them to be disposed of.
- Fireworks and sparklers
- Smoke or gas canisters (including aerosols and nitrous oxide)
- Chinese lanterns
- Megaphones and air horns
- Sound systems
- Naked flames
- Dangerous or hazardous items
- Laser devices
- Unauthorised items for trading
- Anything that may be used as a weapon or compromise safety
- Flagpoles measuring more than 1 metre
- Illegal drugs including “former legal highs”
- Unauthorised professional photography or recording equipment, zoom lenses
- Audio/visual or cinematographic devices
- Barbeques including disposable barbeques, camping stoves
- Flaming torches
- Tents / gazebos / shelters
CAN I LEAVE THE WORLD OF CIRCUS AND COME BACK?
You will be able to leave the auditorium area but re-entry will be with ticket only and you will be required to go through a search procedure again.
AM I ALLOWED TO BRING ALCOHOL?
Yes, alcohol is permitted. There will be several bars on site serving alcoholic and soft drinks.
CAN I BRING MY OWN SEATS?
Yes, you can.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD BRING?
We recommend you wear sensible shoes, warm clothes and bring waterproofs with you. The grass can become slippery in bad weather.
WILL I NEED A TORCH?
We will light the entrances and exits but it is always useful to bring additional lighting.
CAN I BRING MY DOG WITH ME?
Yes, you can but please keep on a leash and ensure that if they are afraid of fireworks that you leave before Flame Oz at 21:30.
WILL THERE BE AN ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREA?
Yes, there will be an accessible viewing area located to your right as you enter the World of Circus arena.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY TICKET?
If you lose your ticket you will need to purchase a new ticket.
WILL THE EVENT BE CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER?
No, not unless we are advised that health and safety is at risk.
CAN I GET A REFUND ON MY TICKET?
