Armed conflict is the cause of many people having to flee their homes and seek refuge in a safe environment. Nobody chooses to leave their home, work, family and friends unless they are desperate. Refugees are fleeing from political persecution or wars. This money could be spent on more socially useful projects such as homes and renewable energy.
This is the third annual Derby Peace Concert and is supported by over a dozen local groups.
All profit will go to Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity.
This event is promoted by a number of progressive groups in Derby, Derby LIVE are pleased to act as a ticket agent.
