In A Right State

About the Event

For practical reasons, the 22nd October production of Banner Theatre's "In A Right State" has been cancelled. However, you can enjoy it on Wednesday 21st October at Belper School Theatre (DE56 0DA) by booking online www.belperartsfestival.org or emailing avkonp@gmail.com or coming on the night.

The production celebrates the struggles of past generations who fought to create the welfare state, and of current generations
campaigning to defend our services from the latest ConDem surgical attack.

In a Right State! includes dynamic stories of defiance from disability campaigners in Cardiff, NHS workers in Manchester and anti-bedroom tax campaigners in Birmingham. These interviews, interwoven with powerful, poignant songs and images of struggle, offer an antidote to the Tory blitzkrieg of cuts, privatisation and austerity.

In a Right State! is flexible and can be tailored to fit slim wallets and wide contexts, including rallies, community socials, union branch meetings and education courses.
