LIVE WIRES is an exciting new initiative from The Lost Boys, Derby LIVE, and Ancestories, designed to empower adults (18+) through the transformative power of arts and theatre. Our mission is to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment where participants can develop both creative and technical skills, build confidence, and connect with a vibrant community.

Each week, LIVE WIRES offers hands-on workshops led by experienced professionals from the arts and theatre industry. Whether you’re interested in acting, directing, design, lighting, or sound, our sessions are tailored to help you explore your interests and unlock your potential. Participants  receive personalised mentorship and practical training, ensuring everyone—regardless of experience—can grow and thrive.

But LIVE WIRES is more than just workshops. It’s a journey that culminates in real-world performance opportunities. In our first year, participants will collaborate to create and stage a production at a Derby venue, gaining invaluable experience in theatre production and the thrill of performing live.
