Nottingham's Malin Hill is joined by Maddie Morris an artist dedicated to making a difference,

Malin Hill are an indie/folk duo based in Nottingham – consisting of Gary Barwell on vocals and guitar and Jenny Beaumont on vocals and violin. They play a mixture of traditional, modern and original folk material – all with unique arrangements and an indie edge. They have played at a variety of music festivals and folk clubs around the UK, been involved in songwriter sessions, and even had their own original carol included in the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s Christmas play list.

Maddie Morris is an artist who strives to make a difference in the world. Bold, insightful and refreshingly unique, they take traditional song in new directions to shine a light on contemporary issues. Described by Jim Moray as “leading the next generation of socially conscious songwriters”, they use their work to highlight inequality, challenge viewpoints and provide an inclusive space for shared experiences. Passionately political, yet gently understated, this is music that deftly treads the path between art and activism.
