Derby Concert Orchestra would like to welcome you to their Spring Concert in the beautiful 13th century parish church of St. Mary's in Wirksworth. The programme starts with the magical Overture to Weber's opera Oberon, full of fairies and fantasy. This is followed by a performance of Beethoven's violin concerto by the outstanding soloist Sophie Rosa, who always produces a beautiful combination of sensitivity and virtuosity. Finally the ever popular and powerful 3rd Symphony from Brahms completes the programme.
