Europe's tallest mobile ride in Derby!

At a towering 68m (223ft) in height, the Starflyer ride will be premiering at the Market Place in Derby on Friday 18th April

This thrilling ride will be open to the public from 10am every day until Sunday 11th May.

A trip on the Starflyer usually lasts 4 minutes and mixes an astonishing perspective with a thrill-seeking rush!

The ride is designed to impose a gentle turning motion on the passenger and should not cause a nauseous feeling because of the limited ‘G’ forces and different direction changes which occur when the ‘Star’ moves up and down the tower. The passenger feeling  is  similar  to  being  in  a  viewing  tower  with  the  added  excitement  of experiencing great heights from an open seat. 

The ride speed can be varied and typically would do 14 rotations per minute (around 30mph).

Originally brought to the UK as the star attraction for the Southbank Festival of the World in 2012, the ride recently featured at Hyde Park'sWinter Wonderland and Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens.

Resplendent in turquoise and white, this swing ride accommodates 24 passengers on 12 double seats and will offer the public unparalleled views of Derby City Centre from a height of 60m.
