About the Event
This event is promoted by The Venue, Derby LIVE are pleased to act as a ticket agent.
A Factory Records celebration night of two of the biggest names of Manchester's music heritage.
The legacy of Joy Division's Ian Curtis continues to burn brightly more than 36 years after his tragic death. Two ground-breaking albums 'Unknown Pleasures' and 'Closer' are often listed as the most influential from the post-punk period, laying the foundations for a swathe bands that followed. None more so than New Order, with Joy Division's surviving members Barney Sumner, Stephen Morris and Peter Hook repackaging their dreams and ideas.
Joy Division doppelgangers Transmission make a welcome return to Derby taking to the stage at 8.00pm. True Order will perform the music of New Order from 10.00pm.
