About the Event

Derby Hospitals Choir 31st Annual Christmas Concert! Join the Choir, Derwent Brass and guest compere, Charles Hanson for festive fun whilst raising money for the Royal Derby Medical Assessment Unit.

The choir first performed a one-off concert in 1983 to raise money for the Macmillan Continuing Care Unit and it was so successful that a committee was formed and another Concert arranged for Christmas 1984 - the rest is history!

30 Concerts later and over £134,000 raised for health based charities in and around Derby, we are going from strength to strength with over 120 members who enjoy singing and fundraising.

Their beneficiary this year is the Royal Derby Medical Assessment Unit and with the greatly appreciated support of Derwent Brass, conducted by Keith Leonard, and their guest compere, local star of TV and proprietor of his own Auction Salerooms in Etwall, Charles Hanson, they are hoping to provide them with funds for much needed equipment.
