Featuring: Mozart Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Thea Musgrave Green, Pergolesi Stabat Mater

Conductor Frank Zielhorst

A extravagantly elegant programme featuring one of the most recognisable pieces of music ever created in Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. An instantly recognisable piece used in TV & film, the serenade is one of the most enduringly popular of all of Mozart's works.

Thea Musgrave's Green simmers with tension and energy in a provocative exploration of the power and influence. Exploring its themes through the tangible power of sound, it is a piece that has to be experienced live in the wonderful acoustics of Derby Cathedral.

Pergolesi’s passionately dramatic Stabat Mater features rocketing live soprano and alto vocal performances, that light the musical fireworks for this stunningly rich and immersive performance.
