About the Event
Come along to Derby’s biggest and best Bonfire and Fireworks display, with a funfair and hot food stalls.
Funfair from 2pm
Capital FM stage show starts at 4.45pm. Hosted by Capital FM's breakfast show presenters Dino & Pete. With music from Furthest from the Sea. Fffts are the Midlands based grass roots collective committed to a hands on approach to Music, Comedy & Arts. Based in Derbyshire and swelled by an army of passionate volunteers, their aim is to bring the performance of a lifetime to their community.
Alice Macy
Alice is a 17 year old singer-songwriter from the East Midlands who's main influences incl. Stevie Nicks, Paolo Nuntini, Shania Twain and Joni Mitchell. She has been performing at various festivals across the Uk incl. the Acoustic Festival of Britain.
Her first release, the single Soldier, was a fund raiser where all the proceeds were given to the Help for Heroes charity.
She hosts a bi monthly event at the Bookcafe called "Alice's acoustic diary" where along with some of her musical friends and friends she helps promote some of the regions most promising new talent.

Brookfield
Young, up-and-coming Acoustic duo Brookfield sing great harmonies arranged with an upbeat and laid back style. They're currently making waves around the region with their honey dripped lyricism.
From Derby, they provide their listeners with a mixture of ambient and uplifting acoustic music, with the use of strong vocal harmonies and experienced guitar playing.
The band first started making music in October 2012, where a casual bedroom jam turned into them wanting to try and push music further to perform in front of a live audience.
Since January 2013 they have played a numerous amount of shows, showcasing a songbook of original compositions and renditions of popular songs, performing in and around Derby and also heading south to perform in London.

Important information
- please refrain from bringing bbq's to the park, due to the fire risk. There will be food and drink stands at the park.
- please do not bring fireworks, sparklers or Chinese Lanterns to the park as they will be confiscated and not returned.
- please do not bring any open flares/candles
- please do not bring animals to the park
- please bring a torch with you
- there are limited spaces for blue badge holders to park on Markeaton Park. Further spaces are available at The University of Derby on Kedleston Road. Blue badge holders can park free of charge.
- please consider the weather conditions and wear sensible footwear and clothing.
Access
Access to Markeaton Park for the Bonfire and Fireworks is restricted for safety reasons. The main entrance to the park, off the A38, will be open for pedestrians. There will be no pedestrian access through the Mundy Play Centre, or across any of the three bridges into the park.
The main entrance to the Mundy Play Centre will also be closed, and the Mundy Play Centre car park will close at 2pm. Anyone who parks in this car park to use the park during the day should ensure that their vehicle is moved by 2pm. Markeaton Lane is closed to all vehicles between 3pm and 9pm, to allow safe access for pedestrians.
Pedestrians coming from The University of Derby car park will be directed across the pedestrian crossing on Kedleston Road and will access the park from Queensway next to the footbridge over the A38. Pedestrians coming along Kedleston Road from the city centre will also be directed via Queensway. Pedestrians from the Quarndon/Allestree areas will be directed down Markeaton Lane into the rear entrance to the park.
Markeaton Lane will be used by the Emergency Services for exiting and accessing the park between 3pm and 9pm. Please be cautious.
Latecomers
Please plan plenty of time for arriving at the event.
From 5.15pm there will be no access to the event at the A38 Queensway Footbridge entrance and the footbridge will be closed. Pedestrians will be directed to the entrance at Markeaton Island. Please follow instructions provided by event stewards.
Exit
Please be patient on exiting the park after the event.
The exit at Queensway next to the footbridge over the A38 will be managed by event Stewards and a queuing system will be in place. This is for your safety; please follow instructions from the event stewards.
An alternative exit is available at the rear entrance of the park onto Markeaton Lane providing access to the University Car Park.
