About the event

Derby's annual free festival celebrating home-grown music, street theatre and all things creative, in and around the Cathedral Quarter.

A whole raft of exciting performances and workshops to watch and take part in for all. Follow the event on social media for more details of acts and timings.

Featuring David Gibb, Missimp, Smoking Guns Theatre, The Small Print Company, Sophie Sparham, Jo May, Jamie Thrasivoulou, choirs, dance troupes, musical theatre, circus skills, hula hoops, giant bubbles, face painting, pirates and much more.

Pirate Portrait competition 

Get your own artwork on show as part of the Furthest from the Sea Festival. The Pirate Portrait competition is open to children of all ages! Download the poster in the photo album for entry requirements and be in with a chance of winning a prize. Visit the event website for more info.

“The Eccentric Director” is a specially commissioned piece of street theatre, funded through the Furthest from the Sea Festival Bursary scheme.
