Mozart Symphony No 40
Schumann 3 Romances, Op.22 Kodály Summer Evening
Grieg Holberg Suite

Join Grammy nominated and RPS 2018 winning orchestra Sinfonia Viva in the grand and resonant Derby Cathedral, for a spectacular performance led by Sinfonia Viva’s Principal conductor Frank Zielhorst.
Featuring one of Mozart’s most quintessential and famous works Symphony No 40. Instantly recognisable from television and film, the piece bubbles with elevated grandeur and tangible passion that is the staple of Mozart’s best pieces.
The concert also includes Schumann’s 3 Romances, Op.22, takes impressive and nimble upwards leaps, making it a tense musical ride that dives into its themes acrobatically. Kodály’s Summer Evening ripples and flourishes beautifully, complimenting Grieg’s Holberg Suite, a piece with such radiance, that it indelibly imprints itself on the listener's consciousness with its pathos, power and emotional depth.
