About the Event

Join Robin Hood, his Merry Men, the Sheriff of Nottingham and a whole host of colourful characters in this immersive experience.

The Nottingham October festival returns for 2017 with a full programme of events over six weekends from Saturday 30 September until Sunday 5 November.

Be transported back in time, as the Castle grounds are transformed into a medieval village encampment, just outside the Sherriff of Nottingham’s stronghold of Nottingham Castle.

Observe medieval village life complete with the sights sounds and smells of 12th Century Nottingham. Meet Robin Hood & King Richard I, try your hand at archery or sample a range of authentic food and ales.

The event concludes with a spectacular show of jousting knights and horseback sword fighting as Robin faces off against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham - in his bid to steal from the rich to give to the poor.
