About the Event

A watch, make, and play workshop for children old enough to use scissors.

So, you’ve learnt how to make shadow puppets (see Shadow Workshop), now learn how to make up terrific tales to perform with your puppets.

Join the friendly and handsome** vagabonds as they weave ideas and pluck characters from your brilliant brains and bish-bash-bosh make up a brand new story. Then, as if that isn’t enough, we all start making the puppets and bits to tell our tale in spectacular 1-D using “Shadow-vision”.

** Whilst we are assured by our mums that we are handsome, they haven’t had their eyes tested in a long long time, and so we might not really be handsome, in fact we might look as rough as a dog’s dinner, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t able to show you how to make up brillo tales.

Tickets can be purchased from Markeaton Park on the day of the show subject to availability one hour before the performance.
