The Jenson Button Trust Triathlon

About the Event

Competitors get the chance to race against the 2009 F1 World Champion and a number of professional and amateur triathletes.

As last year, individuals and teams of three have the chance to race twice during the day with the swim in Markeaton Lake, a cycle ride on closed roads into the city centre and then back to Markeaton Park for the run to the finish line.

New this year will be the #BeMoreBailey family triathlon, inspired by Bailey Matthews, the 9 year old boy whose courage and determination in completing his first triathlon was rewarded at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2015. Children and their parents will be encouraged to take part together over a course of 50m swim, 2.5km bike and 750m run and celebrate their achievements in completing it.
