Tony came to prominence in 1971 where his third single, that was written by Neil Sedaka, ‘(Is This The Way To) Amarillo’, was a hit all over the world and number one in countless countries. He continued to have hits in the 70s and 80s such as ‘Avenues and Alleyways’ and ‘Drive Safely Darling’.

In 2005 he won a whole new generation of fans with the re-release of Amarillo with the help of Peter Kay.
